Welcome. I'm really glad you are here. Thank you for stopping by.

Photography is a way for me to slow down, appreciate, and notice what nature offers and, on occasion, other shapes, scenes and lighting that catch my eye. In that moment of discovery the creative process begins with using the cameras, lenses, and filters in my photographer's toolkit. My aim is to bring about and express what moves me in that time and space. The resulting photo embodies that moment.

Having grown up in rural northern British Columbia nature was my playground, I've always resonated with nature. Recently, I learned what science says about the positive relationship between nature and human well being in a book entitled "The Brain on Nature" by Eva Selhub and Alan Logan. While being in nature reaps the most benefits, what struck me the most was the empirical evidence that images of nature in the home or workplace has a also has a beneficial impact on the human brain and personal well being. Maybe you've read the book, too? Or, might like to?

More recently, health issues limited my ability to get out and about in nature with my camera as much as I usually like to. But the silver lining is that it led me down a path of exploring digital artistry, which is now a part of my my artistic repertoire, in addition to photography.

Once again, I appreciate you being here and hope you enjoy what you see and get a positive 'brain boost', too.

Jacqui enjoys photography for the sheer joy of it. With her camera, she is always on an adventure of delight.

Her photography journey began in the summer of 2008 when she purchased her first DSLR camera as a gift to herself when she finished her graduate studies. She has had the good fortune spending time with some awesome photographers from whom she learned a lot about 'the art of seeing'. She is forever grateful to Ian Cook, Freeman Patterson, Kevin McNeil, and Adrian Kline.

Jacqui has published work in books and business materials. Her work is also on display at Studio 209, Vancouver BC

Jacqui's work is available for licensing and a variety of customized sizes and a range of high quality archival print formats (photo paper, acrylic, metallic, and canvas). Some images are better suited to some formats and sizes than others. Jacqui enjoys working directly with her clients to best suit her/his needs. Feel free to contact Jacqui for any inquiries about her work in general, or if you would like to make a purchase.
